Milestone - Season 3 Complete - A Look at the Future of This Project.
In the editing department, season 3 is now finished!!!! Season 3 was by far the biggest challenge so far but I cannot wait to see what the future has in store!! Now I will begin the regular process of going back through the previous seasons and giving them a little touch up based on the things I learned during season 3!
I'm going to start designing season 4's visual looks and opening quote/title templates. The footage restoration work on the "Find 815" scenes is going well and I'm so excited to bring this very obscure corner of lost 'canon' into the fold.
Season 4 is currently outlined as 12 episodes! I reckon in the back half of the series the average episode duration will increase a bit. But it won't be a huge shift, in the final 4 episodes of season 3 this series has actually sprinted all the way past season 3 episode 9 of lost, so the next time we pick up with our islanders will be "Tricia Tanaka is Dead"!
From a narrative standpoint the remaining 14 episodes of season 3 footage will run from 4.02 - 4.07.
And the entirety of the island plots in season 4 will run from 4.07 - 4.12. In other words, holy shit the pace of this series is about to skyrocket hahaha. I'm really curious what this breakneck pace will result in. Essentially the entire last half of season 4 is going to be insanity!! And from there the speed will not slow down at all haha. Season 5 is mapped to 12 episodes as well! Looking even farther ahead season 6 is plotted for 8 episodes, and season 7 is currently planned as 5 episodes!
